Anode Glow Plays Brooklyn

Electro-acousticians Anode Glow and electronic music adventurer Impossible Objects
infiltrated the senses in two acts at Monkey Town HQ located in the heart of Williamsburg
Brooklyn.  Big synths, live drums, entrancing vocals, live viz by United Vision all came
together for this show, the first in a series called Sexy Sights + Sounds for Sexy people.

“As soon as I walked into Monkey Town I thought this place is cool,” says Henze of the multi-roomed club where each room is an art installation, including the bathrooms which incorporate sound sculptures to the experience.  The performance space itself is in the middle of four giant projection screens. “I was happy with the set-up,” adds Kidder.

And of course New York City provided ample amounts of exciting-sexy-people, inspiring the duo to lube up the sexual energy with a blend of ambient groove eloquence that was further enhanced by United Vision’s sound interactive video graphics to the point of “being over the top on several instances,” according to Kip McQueen, director of Drive-In studios.

Ultimately any sexual tension built was released for all during the course of the psycho-hillbilly explosion “Ticklish”.  See some video yo...
